The Acute Leukemia Forum was begun 14 years ago by Dr. Jacob M. Rowe because of the critical need to communicate the latest developments in leukemia research and treatment. The forum provides prominent researchers from around the country and the world a platform to share and discuss the latest advances impacting this disease, from gene polymorphisms in leukemia to the latest strategies in bone marrow transplant. Important developments, such as progress in genetics and gene expression profiling, stem cell transplantation, and the use of monoclonal antibodies, are taking place at an ever-increasing speed. As a result, this forum gains in significance as the leading researchers in the field continue to hone and share their understanding and insights.
This meeting is intended for hematologists, oncologists, and other healthcare providers who manage or treat patients with leukemia.
