Due to unforeseen circumstances a decision has been made to postpone this meeting until the fall. The new meeting dates are September 23-26, 2009.
This meeting, cochaired by Drs James B. Bussel and Douglas B. Cines, provides a platform for advancing the care of patients with cytopenias by providing the latest in scientific research as well as useful, practical clinical information on the different aspects of these diseases. Cytopenias are an eclectic group of blood disorders and the obligation exists on the part of experts in the field to provide new evidence regarding their diagnosis and treatment. In order to provide optimal care for their patients, practitioners need to be informed of the latest research and clinical developments in the field, particularly as they relate to rare diseases such as ITP. This meeting will cover hematology of the fetus, neonate, and child, alternative causes of thrombocytopenia, and ITP in adults and children.
This educational program is intended for hematologists, oncologists, and other healthcare providers who manage or treat patients with ITP.
