The understanding of the underlying pathophysiology of ITP has improved dramatically over the past several decades, though there is still more progress to make. This understanding has aided in treatment choice. As the amount of data coming out of clinical studies in ITP increases, so too does the need for specialists treating ITP patients to keep abreast of these results. This symposium will function to disseminate the most important practical findings in ITP research, treatment, and patient care.
