The number of T-cell patients is limited, and cooperation among clinicians and centers is essential to enroll patients in clinical trials and for retrospective and prospective analysis. Currently, several efforts, such as the PTCL Registry, International T-cell Lymphoma Consortium, and the formation of a PTCL tissue bank, promise to aid in the improvement of treatment and outcomes for this group of diseases.

Given the rarity of the disease, the abundance of subtypes, the different clinical courses between PTCLs and CTCLs, the likelihood of misdiagnosing the disease, and the treatment updates that have been recommended, it is important to increase clinicians’ exposure to T-cell lymphomas. By doing so, physicians will be able to employ new diagnosis and treatment recommendations in an effort to improve the outlook for patients with this diverse group of NHLs.

In years past, the difficulty physicians faced when treating PTCL patients was the lack of available therapies; today, the difficulty is matching the patient with the best regimen to achieve an optimal and durable response. This symposium, with its focus on real-life case studies and lively discussion, will help the physician take the leap from yesterday’s treatment regimens to today’s treatment strategies.
